The applicant further assists with billing and follow-up accounts receivable duties for Graham Home Medical Equipment and is responsible for billing all primary and secondary insurances. This position is responsible for posting all payments to the appropriate patient account. Determines claim status and resolution by making follow-up inquiries; submits subsequent claims for secondary or other third party reimbursement and resolves third party inquiries. Reads and understands Medicare and Medicaid notices related to policy changes, clarifications, and procedural updates; compiles and prints monthly patient billing statements and is responsible for collection of patient balances. Applicants with a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous customer service experience and 1-2 years of billing HME claims preferred. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 & ICD-10 coding and terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations preferred.
