The Director of Materials Management at Graham Hospital Association is responsible for ensuring the effective operational activity for the Health System. The position manages all supply chain efforts al all system locations. Timely, accurate and appropriate acquisition and delivery of supplies and services for the Graham Hospital Association operating units. Manages, directs, assigns and trains the supply chain staff. Includes selection of personnel, evaluation, disciplining and recognition of the department staff. Develops and/or updates policies and procedures as they relate to the Materials Management function. Negotiates contracts and purchase orders with external vendors, suppliers and sources. Acts as a resource/advisor to all departments with regard to supplies, equipment and service needs, both in a reactive and proactive manner. Maintains current knowledge of State, Federal and accreditation agencies (Joint Commission and others) as they apply to the Materials Management division. Follows and updates guidelines and provides documentation as needed. Manages the inventory system, which includes the proper stocking of departmental sub-inventories, establishment of realistic PAR levels, reviews regularly to avoid outages and items that may soon be outdated. Provides leadership for Products Stand and New Products Committee, with description of the items to be offered and recommendations for consideration. Participates in the preparation of Materials Management financial documents, both operating and capital and monitors the financial performance on a regular basis throughout the year.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Process Management, Supply Chain. Management or other closely related field.Master’s Degree in Business or closely related field preferred. Minimum ExperienceSeven (7) years, or greater, of related healthcare experience in supply chain, materials management, and logistics in a health care setting. Supervisory experience of five (5) years or greater.
