Under general direction, Respiratory Therapists: plan, implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participate actively in the education of patients, students, staff, physicians and themselves; provide technical support for all equipment related to the hospital based practice of Respiratory Therapy; assist with general department functions. Reports to the Director of Respiratory Care Services.
The applicant in this position must be a graduate from AMA approved school for respiratory care. Applicant must possess a current Registered Respiratory therapy license, or Certification as a respiratory care technician, and have CPR Certification. One year of hospital-based respiratory services preferred. Ability to apply knowledge base of clinical variations.
The Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Clinical Director (MD, DO, or PhD, or designee) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can supervise a polysomnographic technician.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required. RPSGT or RST required within 12 months of eligibility date. Sleep technology experience preferred, however, training will be offered, with required timely completion for interested candidates that are without experience/certification.
