Prepares food items for hospital patients according to standardized recipes in designated quantities. The patient cook is also responsible for special function meals as directed. The patient cook is under direct supervision of the Chef Manager and/or Director of Food and Nutrition Service.

The applicant in this position must be a high school graduate or equivalent preferred.  Previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred.  Knowledge of cooking methods/procedures including types of preparation and related duties.  Applicant must possess the ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, lift/carry up to 25 lbs, must be able to withstand exposure to heat, steam, wetness, odors.
