The Robotic Coordinator/ First Assist will assists the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision of the physician and administration of Graham Surgery department. The robotic coordinator will have the responsibility for planning, implementing, evaluating and managing all aspect of the robotic and minimal invasive surgical program related to clinical processes, including the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures. Will work closely with Director managing physician follow up and robotic scheduling. Will take an active roll in promoting the program to the public as needed in conjunction with Administration and marketing. Education requirements include Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or scrub technician program. Graduate of a Certified Surgical First Assist program preferred. Experience requirements include experience as a certified scrub tech, or RN with scrub experience. First assistant and robotic experience preferred. Current Illinois RN licensure required or Current Illinois certification as a scrub technician licensure preferred. If not licensed upon hire, then must obtain within 3 months of hire date. Current First Assistant Certification. Current CPR and ACLS Certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year.
